When it comes to self promotion and advertising, some REALTORS® will use fairly aggressive, or even gimmicky, tactics to try and get your attention and win your business. Promotions like, “Your Home Sold or We’ll Buy It” and “List With Us For a Chance to Win a Car” being good examples of the sort of campaigns I’m talking about.

But, so what? Should you care if a REALTOR® wants to win your business by using gimmicks to gain your attention? Well, that’s up to you to decide, but it’s not the business model I’m running.

I’d rather win your business based on my track record of success and the value-add services I use to help my clients achieve their dreams. After all, why do you work with an Agent in the first place: is it to win cars and trips or to have them as a backup buyer when they can’t sell your house; or, to help you better buy and sell property with you’re interests served and protected throughout the whole process?
